chiang kai-shek memorial, taiwan, 2005my writing is kind of in a lull right now, waiting for feedback from my dissertation committee co-chairs before quick turnaround to full committee next week (i defend in exactly one month)! i've been thinking a lot about traveling lately, where i've been, where i'd like to go, and in particular, my next adventure this summer. siri and i will go to taiwan in july, but jeff will not be accompanying us this time. i am, of course sad that jeff cannot come with us since he has to prepare to take the new york bar exam. i am also extremely nervous about traveling with siri by myself. while, my mom and sister will travel with us from sfo-tpe, siri and i will go at the 13 hour flight alone from tpe-sfo. the trip to new york a couple of weeks ago was relatively brutal, and that was only a five hour flight.
but, at the same time, i am excited to be taking a trip with my little girl. it will be our first vacay together, and i look forward to more in our futures. my mental preparations have led me to look through my travel photos and select some favorites to share with our blog followers. you may have seen some of them, but probably not all. enjoy!
