summer time and the livin's easy...

...or so it seemed this past sunday. here are some pictures from our lazy sunday hanging around our home. such a beautiful san franciscan day.

* basking in the evening sunlight while being bratty and throwing food all over herself

* hanging out in our backyard -- siri picks a plum from our tree

glimpse of our mornings

jeff pretends to be asleep and siri attempts to wake him -- this is pretty much what happens every morning in the pan rosenberg household (except we don't sleep in chairs in the middle of the garden).

speakeasy ales and lager

we visited speakeasy's firkin friday open house today and siri loved it! an old high school friend, mat, was passing through and many of the bay area '98 cv alum/friends got together for happy hour. siri was hamming it up for everyone, and was so good. we got home around 9pm and she was still very worked up that she didn't fall asleep until after 10. here are some pictures:

* siri loves uncle yosuke and auntie bory!
* feeding "uncle" nic and "uncle" joel -- basically everyone got fed by siri, except for mat
* siri was obsessed with the piano and loved that "uncle" tyler knew how to play. they played several duets throughout the night
* bonus picture: siri at the eureka valley rec center this morning

happy father's day (and then some)

we celebrated father's day by going to stow lake in golden gate park for a couple of hours. siri loved being in the middle of the lake on the peddle boat, and having a close view of the turtles (turs), ducks (duckies) and bubbles from peddling. she was so exhausted that she fell asleep as soon as we got into our car.

there was a small festival yesterday in noe valley, and we caught the tail end of it since siri's nap went a little longer than usual. we had fun at the petting zoo and took a ride on a horse-drawn carriage.

* bird (of some kind -- can anyone identify?) that was extremely pissed b/c we were too close to it

* turs hanging out on branches

* would've been a good family picture if siri didn't scowl

* happy daddy with is baby girl

* petting zoo at midsummer festival in noe valley -- siri liked the guinea pigs best and was scared of everything else, especially the tortoise (kept saying, "no tur!")

ipa and gamma visit

grandpa and gramma visited on their way back to oregon last weekend, and since then siri keeps asking aboug "ipa" and "gamma." unfortunately, we don't have any pictures of siri with either of them from the visit, but captured a few photos from our outings/activities.

* jeff brings sexy back ('80s retro) with my jacket
* siri playing "baby si" on maia's playmat
* meat patties in the birdbath in jenn and todd's backyard
* siri and soccer ball
* apparently siri wanted a picture with ONLY uncle todd. see what happens when mommy and daddy try to take pictures with her
* checking to make sure mommy was keeping up

swim class

we decided to enroll siri in swim class, and take a short break from music class this summer. while jeff and i are both excited about this, siri seems a little less-than-thrilled (in part, we think, because she doesn't really like the swim instructor). we've gone to two classes now, and she cried at both, although she was slightly better today than last saturday. maybe it'll be better next week.

* in the pool with daddy today
* wailing before even going through the tunnel
* in the pool with mommy last week
* wailing (story of about 3/4 of the class)

saturday

we took a long day trip on saturday, beginning with fun at the bay area discovery museum, followed by lunch in sausalito, then playing on the beach in pt. reyes, and capped off the day with dinner in san anselmo. at first, siri absolutely refused to touch the sand at the beach (as can be seen in the previous post), but once she got over it, we created a wave-chasing little monster! she had so much fun that she protested when it was time to pack up by staring longingly at the waves and yelling, "more wa wa! more bay!"

no, i will NOT touch the sand!

we went to drakes beach at pt. reyes yesterday, and siri refused to walk on the sand (at first). here is a video documenting her resistance.
