Siri is now in her 27th week and there's a lot going on around here. First, she has decided that, during possible playing hours, it is not acceptable to lay her on her back. She complains by immediately crying until we adhere to her desire. She must sit upright -- scooting toward, and lunging at toys. This is by far her favorite activity of late. Second, in the solid foods department, Siri has "advanced" from rice cereal, then pears to sweet potatoes. She seems to like the sweet potatoes the best so far, although she did say "mmm" after her first bite of pears a couple of weeks back. Third, she is now adjusting to being with the nanny (for those not in the know, we have a person come in for four hours each morning of the week -- this gives us the desperate time we need to get work done). Although she'd rather not be with the nanny (Supriya), she is willing to let her put her down for her morning nap. She does immediately brigthen up as soon as Surpriya leaves, which is rather bratty. Fourth, Siri complains loudly when a "toy" (or anything she considers to be a toy, such as a washcloth or spoon) is taken away from her. She will first complain with a few choice "words," then move onto whimpering and screaming. I think we're getting a hint of her personality. Fifth, Siri is intrigued by Evie, and this fascination increases daily. She will stop what she is doing immediately when she spots Evie and start to smile, laugh, flail and kick wildly. Sixth, she finds her parents to be absolutely amusing when we make funny noises; she laughs at us expecting more of these silly noises. This is all for now...here are some pictures from this week.
