by far one of my favorite things from our trip to beijing was our visit to the forbidden city. the day started out okay, but as soon as we got to the front gate of the forbidden city, siri began whining -- it was close to nap time and hot. plus, we didn't know at the time, that was the beginning of her cold (we all got colds during our time there). pictures here include me nursing siri in the forbidden city, a lion statue, an arched doorway, the entrance to the city with mao's face plastered on the wall and jeff's head underneath, and the bridges to the first hall.
