it's been a while since the last blog update. the fall semester caught up with all of us, but especially me, the blog moderator. classes have been going well, but with two new preps, jeff working in midtown, siri in school, well, the work never ends. day job: college professor; life job: mom and partner. jeff and i have been able to balance our schedules a little with our division of household labor. although i take siri to school everyday, he gets her ready in the mornings by feeding her breakfast, brushing her teeth, etc....all except for hair doing. i pick up siri on the days i don't teach, and rachel, our lovely babysitter, collects her on the two days that i do. today was the first day where jeff implemented another aspect of this division of labor: picking up siri from school. it's amazing how an additional two hours (especially on a friday) buys me much more work time, especially since i do most if not all of the late afternoon/evening duties. i already feel less stressed about the following week when compared with prior weeks. we intend for the jeff-pick-up-siri-on-fridays to continue. hopefully, it can.
some pictures from the last month or so. enjoy!
