we took a trip to the tiger zoo when we were in oregon -- siri differentiates between the "tiger zoo" and the "zoo." the zoo is the "cal academy," which is also interchangeable with "academy of sciences." the tiger zoo refers to actual zoos. jeff and siri went to the sf zoo a few months ago, and a growling tiger made an impression.

siri was really excited to see the tigers, and kept talking about them before we even got to the zoo. of course, we went the complete opposite direction when we entered the zoo, and the tigers were the last things we saw. a very tired siri started to nod off while jeff was carrying her toward the tigers. we did everything we could to coax her into keeping her eyes open. finally, we arrived at the tigers, she took one look at them. i asked whether she saw them, and she replied, "yes" then conked out. jeff held her for the entire hour of the nap -- she even slept through him walking among crowds as we neared the gift shop, and eventually left the premises. so tired.
