siri "filling out her face.."

ran into our neighbor craig today who said siri is really "filling out her face. she looks more like a little girl and less like a baby." so true. siri does look more and more girl-like, and she acts more and more toddler-like as well. while siri's vocabulary continues to grow, the word "no" takes over her repertoire. she gets frustrated easily, and often asks mommy and daddy to "stop" (schop) when we're not doing what she asks. it's frustrating having big thoughts without the big words (or sentences). repetition crept up on us quickly this weekend. siri had been copying nuvi (our gps) since friday, and will repeat when nuvi says "turn right," "keep right," "turn left," etc. repeating words also means we definitely have to watch our language. jeff said "shit" yesterday while driving, and didn't even faze us until siri very clearly repeated "shit, shit, shit, shit, shit...." luckily, jeff was quick on his toes and started using sentences with "sit" in them, and siri then repeated "sit" over and over instead of the former.

siri has been battling a minor cold since last saturday, which culminated into an ear infection. she's currently on antibiotics. mommy is recovering from the cold (which included a very nasty sore throat), but daddy seems to have had a very mild case of it. lucky him.
