pneumonia

siri had been recovering from a cold for the past week or so. although she was sniffly, she was still acting quite normal with a bit of a runny nose. but, on thursday morning, she woke with a very slight fever. we decided to keep her home. then, her fever spiked to nearly 104 farenheit around 11pm, so we rushed her to the emergency room. we stayed there for over two hours; siri underwent a nasal swab and chest xray in addition to standard er routine. she was diagnosed with pneumonia.

she's been taking antibiotics ever since and started seeming a bit more like herself yesterday. her fever also broke saturday evening, so we worried a little less. but, siri is a tough little girl -- even though she was feeling miserable, she still played and hung out when lao lao and lao lao lao came to visit. here are some photos from the brief visit (lao lao lao flew out of sfo on thursday evening to go back to taiwan).
