Siri -- week 36

Week 36 and we're beginning to experience more of Siri's budding personality. Our first altercation this weeks consists of Siri reaching for, and touching outlets (that are covered, of course) and us telling her "no." She would repeatedly look at us, the outlet, reach out for it, and receive a very stern "Siri, no" from either one of us. Her reactions to us? Sad face, pouty face, reach out for hug, cry, or a combination of the aforementioned. I know babies test their parents, but I wasn't expecting this to happen for at least another four months or so. Since the outlet "incident," she's also found other ways to test us, such as sucking on her leather shoes from Auntie Jenn (another act that warrants "no"), or moving around in her highchair when we're eating out, which is rather dangerous. Looks like we have our hands full.

Siri is also becoming an expert waver. She waves at Evie first thing in the morning and waves at passersby. She even waved "good bye" to Supriya the other day when I came home from school. Supriya and I were sitting on the floor talking, and Siri was sitting with her back to me, facing Supriya. Every once in a while, Siri would look at Supriya and wave, seemingly telling her it was time for her to go. It was pretty amusing.

Photos from this week include Siri waving to some crows cawing (she heard them caw before actually seeing them and started waving immediately), Father's day with her first balloon (the cashier at Trader Joe's gave it to her), Daddy showing Siri how to breakdance properly, hanging out with Mommy and Daddy's friend, Paul, and playing in a big box.

She is so ridiculously cute with those pigtails! And what a fetching dress she's wearing :) Can't wait to see her soon!
