to our loyal blog followers: apologies for not uploading pictures this past week of siri. i'm in the midst of crazily grading student papers and finishing up final assignments for classes as this is the end of the quarter for me. jeff is busy, as usual with his law school stuff. so, we haven't taken many pictures of siri lately. i will try to upload some pictures this weekend, but no guarantees.
some things to celebrate are: (1) siri is now five months old! i can't believe how fast time has flown by; it seems like she was just born yesterday. (2) she has been able to briefly support herself by propping herself up with her arms. by briefly, i mean just that -- for about 2-3 seconds or so at one time. (3) siri is learning how to use one hand to touch things, especially our faces. she will examine our faces and then reach out and touch it. it's really cute and an indication that her cognitive abilities are developing along with her physical abilities. (4) she is becoming more attached to us and will cry if strangers hold her. she is kind of like a hippogriff -- needs to assess the situation (person) first and then she might allow someone to play with, and/or hold her :).
